STEP 1: CLEAN your wall

We REQUIRE the 3M Enhanced Adhesion Cleaning Method: https://youtu.be/ozVGLrYXKKU
Before you start, be sure your wall is smooth, dry, and clean. Please watch the Video that explains how to clean your wall with alcohol. This video also explains WHY you should clean your wall (in case you are wondering)

STEP 2: PLAN & SET UP

panels-fabric.png

Plan your design first. Or don’t. Each panel of wallpaper would have a number in the back, however, if we processed your wallpaper on “Margarita-Fridays” then the numbers might be wrong, so please double check and make sure the panels are in the correct order before applying to the wall. The total WIDTH of the wallpaper you received, when adding up all the panels, should be more than you need to cover your wall. We recommend starting the first panel with an overhang to the ceiling by a 1/2” to 1” in case your ceiling/walls are not squared, then trim the excess at the end of installation.

STEP 3: INSTALL the first PANEL
You may need four hands for the installation of your mural, so unless you are a Hindu God, please remember to con a friend into helping. Lay down each panel on the floor. Make sure the upper part is the one that goes on to the top of the wall.

START AT THE LEFT EDGE OF YOUR WALL. In the back of your panels, you will find the order of each panel by numbers. Start with the upper left corner of the room, hang them from LEFT to RIGHT to ensure a smooth repeat of the design across the wall.
START INSTALLATION: WATCH VIDEO BEFORE STARTING.
SPRAY EZ HANG HELPER ON YOUR WALL. Start with a small area enough to cover where the first panel will be installed. Pick up Panel 1 and remove a few feet of backing paper and start sticking the panel to the wall. Overhang the wallpaper on the ceiling by at least ½” making sure there is enough at the bottom to cover the entire height of the wall. Once you have the first part positioned, make your helper hold on to that part while you peel down the rest of the backing paper off the panel. Smooth down the panel on the wall using a sponge, rag, or your hands, making sure to remove excess liquid and air pockets. You could slide the wallpaper panel into position if the upper part got moved. Once you are done with the first panel, repeat this process. Spray the wall first, then apply the next panel, slide it into position making sure you overlap the new panel into the previous one until the pattern matches perfectly.

*Do not trim the overlap before applying the wallpaper, as it guarantees that the wallpaper will repeat seamlessly without any gaps between panels. Do not “butt seam” the mural: do not place both edges of the mural so that they are directly next to one another. This would cause the mural to align incorrectly.

STEP 5: Trimm it

unpasted-wallpaper-05.png
For the finishing part you are going to remove/trim the excess material at the top, bottom, and sides. Use a sharp utility knife (box cutter with a new blade required every few cuts) to trim any excess at the edges of the wall and any excess on the right edge of your installation area. Change the blade often! If overlap is noticeable, you can remove it too! (Message me tips on how to remove the overlap safely)
