Wall decals peeling off, HELP!
Does this sound familiar? if this is happening to you, DO NOT STRESS, there is a solution!
Our wall Decals products adhere to almost every surface, however, we cannot guarantee that the product will work with all kinds of wall paint and texture available in the market. The most common problem is the wall paint contains additive such as Teflon or silicon which prevent the decal to adhere to the surface. Every vinyl decal in the market has experience issues (not just ours) because of paints and primers that are "stain block". To name a few, we know Sherwin Williams, Behr and Valspar carry these paints, but there are also other less famous brands.
Additionally, paint needs to “cure” for at least 4 weeks before attempting installation of decals, to allow for the out-gassing process to be finished. (Yes, even when you think the paint is dry, it keeps releasing gasses into the air, until it is completely cured after 4-6 weeks.)
Please note that based on our customer’s feedback, only the repositionable vinyl decal has shown problems with adhesion while the self-adhesive fabric has not shown any issues to date. Hence, we always recommend the fabric option.
What to do if your Vinyl Decal is peeling or lifting off the wall:
First of all, DON’T PANIC! We know your struggle and based on our own customer's experiences and recommendations over this past year, we have found a solution that has worked for every single customer who had this same problem. We have developed a list of REMOVABLE ADHESIVE GLUE that you can use to keep your decal on the wall. You can order these online or buy it on your local craft store. (Note, prices might not be updated) Please note that if the decal has fallen off the wall completely, instead of just a few corners peeled off, this recommendation might not work for you, in which case, contact us and we will work with you to find some other solution.
